It is with great sadness that we report the death of Save Westport Now Co-Chair Jeffrey L. Block. Jeff died at his home surrounded by loved ones on January 12, 2016 after a brief battle with cancer.
Jeff was a zealous open-space advocate and took a lead role in many land-use decisions in Westport, including most notably the battle involving the Partrick Wetlands. He was an invaluable member of our volunteer community, a man who generously contributed his time, energy, and intelligence to all of SWN’s endeavors. Jeff’s dedication, sage counsel, and sense of humor will be sorely missed.
We offer our heartfelt condolences to Helen, his wife of 35 years, his children, Michael, Meredith, and Gabriel, and his grandchildren, Nicole, Shayna, and Emmitt.
